Do you have burning questions about parking, handbag-sized dogs, or whether you can bring your own lunch? Fear not! Here you will find answers to everything from the slightly silly to the very practical.
We have compiled the most important (and most entertaining) questions here – and no, unfortunately your pet ferret is not allowed to come along either.
May I eat with you?
Hell yes! Just don't bring your own food. Fortunately, there are over 100 delicious dishes to choose from here.
Can I bring my budgie?
NO. Parrots, cats, pet pigs, and guinea pigs must be left outside. However, service and guide dogs are welcome inside.
I want to be famous, will you film me?
YES! We can do that.
Sometimes we take snapshots/videos for our social media channels.
You can ask us to remove the photo at any time by sending an email to info@vaerftetsmadmarked.dk.
Where can I park my Ferrari?
- 110 parking spaces with 24-hour free parking.
- 35 parking spaces with 3 hours of parking for DKK 10 per hour (parking apps: Easypark, Parkzone, Parkpark).
- 3 Clever charging stations.
- 3 Eon charging stations.
- 2 x 50 Watt charging stations (super fast).
If all these parking spaces are occupied, there is parking available at Kronborg (paid parking), at the harbor, on Lundegade, and on Allegade.
Note:
When parking in the large parking lot shown below, select zone 2932 in your parking app.
In the small parking lot, which you can see in the picture, select zone 3002.
How old do you have to be to be served an ice-cold ice cream sundae?
You must be 18 years of age to be served alcoholic beverages. Staff may ask to see your ID.
I received a money tree as a birthday present. Can I pay with it?
Sure: just ask Madstadet to call our CASH-COW, who will rush over and take care of your cash payment.
Where can I smoke my Cuban cigars?
Smoking is only permitted in our outdoor areas. This applies to e-cigarettes, pipes (including water pipes), cigars, and cigarettes.
Can you reserve a table?
Table reservations are made for 10 guests or more. If you are fewer than 10, please come anyway: we have more than 600 seats inside and almost 300 outside.
Unfortunately, we do not accept table reservations in July and August.
Payment
At Værftets Madmarked, we make it easy and flexible for you to pay for your dining experience.
You can choose between the following payment methods.
MobilePay
Most restaurants accept MobilePay, allowing you to pay quickly and conveniently directly from your smartphone.
Cash
If you wish to pay in cash, you can ask the food vendor to call our "CASH-COW," which makes it possible to handle cash payments.
Many stalls accept the most common payment cards, so you don't need to worry if you prefer this method.

Gift card
Give someone an unforgettable dining experience with a gift card to Værftets Madmarked!
Our gift cards can be purchased directly at the bar and used for delicious food and drinks throughout the food market.
We also accept gift cards from Helsingør Handel, which you can use and redeem with us—but our own gift cards can only be used here on site.

Smoking? Not here, please!
Please smoke outside—our food tastes better without the smell of cigarette smoke.
Small sizes, big responsibility
Children are of course welcome, but please keep an eye on them. The food market is not a playground (although we understand it can feel like one).
No smuggling, please!
We love food and drink—especially our own. So please keep your own snacks and sodas at home.
Trash in the trash can – not on the table!
Help us keep the market cozy and clean. Used plates and glasses should go to the collection station.
Woof woof?
Dogs are cute, but unfortunately only outside. Unless you have a service dog—they're VIPs!
Safety first
If something goes wrong (which it won't, of course!), listen to your employees. They know what they're doing.

Forgot something? Don't worry, we've got it covered (as long as it's not your significant other)!

- Unclaimed items are stored for up to 30 days – after that, we donate anything that can be reused.
