The Maritime Museum, also known as the Danish Maritime Museum, is an architectural and cultural gem located in Helsingør. The museum is housed in an underground building designed by the world-renowned architect Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), built around a former dry dock. The building, which opened in 2013, has won international recognition for its unique architecture and functionality.

The museum offers a fascinating journey through Denmark's maritime history from the 15th century to the present day. Here you can experience interactive exhibitions covering topics such as trade, fishing, and modern ship technology. It is suitable for both adults and children, with activities and educational programs that bring history to life. The museum also houses an extensive maritime library and an image collection with over 120,000 images.
