Kawa Sushi

Qing Gao and her husband Changgin Yu have been rolling sushi together for more than 20 years. They come from China and started their sushi adventure at Sticks & Sushi in 2010.

They have brought their experience to Værftets Madmarked, where you can enjoy their specialties such as nigiri, rice paper, and bao. All their ingredients are fresh, and the quality is evident at Kawa Sushi.

Before Qing fell in love with cooking and sushi rolling, she worked in computer science and web development. But the busy office life and lack of human interaction became too meaningless. Qing missed life, joy, and interaction with others.

Today, we are honored to have Qing and Changgin at the Shipyard Food Market, where life and joy are part of everyday life. These are fantastic qualities that they both contribute. Both through their wonderful delicacies, but also as people.
